I have been thinking about this a lot lately... judgement and how we all do it and we all hate it when others do it to us and how do we stop believing that "our way is right" for everyone when really it's just the way that works for us. I'm feeling a little tired of being judged, and what I've been thinking about is how it seems (and this is MY perspective based on my baggage and my very non-objective view of my experiences) that women are so much more guilty of a) judging and b) reacting as if they are being judged. A man says he's sleep training his 3-month-old and other men don't step in and say "Why are you sleep training him at such an early age?" A man just shrugs his shoulders. And the man who has announced that he's sleep training his child wouldn't freak out and cry and get defensive if someone did ask why he's sleep training his child. If you have any answers, Allison, I'd love to hear them. I'm as guilty of being judgmental as the next mommy. And I'm as guilty of over-reacting and feeling defensive when someone questions my parenting.
